Introduction and Purpose
This course is an extension of Algebra I and provides further development of the concept of a function. Topics include: (1) relations, functions, equations and inequalities; (2) polynomials; (3) algebraic fractions; (4) logarithmic and exponential functions; (5) sequences and series; and (6) counting principles and probability, and as time allows.
PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of College Preparatory Biology. Completion of Algebra 1 and College Preparatory Chemistry courses are recommended.
OUT-OF-STATE SCHOOLS: Schools not interested in “a-g” credit are welcome to use the online portion of the course without providing wet labs but know that wet labs constitute 20% of the full course.
